first of all youtube has impacted society a great deal because people are able to share videos with the world and watch other peoples videos. facebook has impacted the way we talk, think, and act. facebook has also allowed people to come together from differant places for example i talk to some of my friends alot more now because of facebook. it allows us to share things, let peopel know what we are up to.
The positive impact of these types of things is that it mainly encourages social activity in almost every way; playing games, sharing photos, music and videos and you can tell your friends what you are up to. another good thing is that youtube has allowed people to upload videos and share what they can do. you can comment and share links to places or other peoples 'channels'
The negative part to this is that it can encourage bad things and crime. youtube for example, you can comment the person who psoted the comment on the video remains completely anonymous to the channel owner. the only thing they see is the name and the comment. they dont know what they look like, who they are in real life and what they are like. the nagative part to facebook is that it can encourage some bad criminal activity such as pedophilic activitys.
the social effect to this is that it allows friends and family to keep up with eachother say for example someone is 5000 miles across the panet and you are unable to call them however they may have access to the internet meaning that you can then keep up with what they are doing.
